Under the motto “Utopia Test Environment” we’re planning a three-day queer feminist gathering from Juli 4th to 6th 2025 (UTC+2) at the Kulturhaus Eidelstedt in Hamburg.
The CFC25 is the first Chaos Feminist Convention – a new, independent event organized by the Haecksen, a tech-interested, queer feminist and inclusive community. For three days, we want to explore together at the Kulturhaus Eidelstedt in Hamburg, how technology and society can be shaped from a queer feminist perspective.
Under the motto “Utopia Test Environment”, we invite you to develop new ideas, discuss them together and design a just, diverse and non-discriminatory analogue and digital future.
Have the courage!
We welcome contributions from all backgrounds that showcase and strengthen the perspectives of FLINTA and marginalized people or groups. Submissions should be thematically oriented towards the tracks, which are deliberately kept open. We especially invite people with socio-political, technical, activist and artistic approaches to participate.
Tracks
- Science & Fiction – What could a queer feminist utopia look like?
- Tech & Engineering – Test Environment – What would be technical concepts for the future?
- Change & Feelings – In_Security, Fear, Anger, Wellness and Empowerment – What does change do to us?
- Consumption & Resources – What do we consume and how do we distribute in a future-proof society?
- Community & Perspectives – How can we interact better?
Formats
- Talks (30-45 min. + optional Q&A)
- Workshops / Interactive sessions
- Panel discussions
- Digital and analogue exhibition objects, art projects and performances
Please keep your format GEMA-free.
Event ethics
We have a code of conduct and an awareness concept and strive to make the event as sensitive to discrimination as possible. We appreciate your support on this!
How can I participate?
Submit your proposal here: Pretalx.
We accept contributions in German and English.
We want every being to be able to participate in our Utopia Test Environment. Accordingly, we are currently working on technical implementations that will enable everyone to experience a CFC together everywhere: So please feel free to submit a remote contribution.
If you have a great idea, we will try to make it possible with you!
Please share your needs for your contribution in the notes section of the submission, so the organizing team can accommodate you as best as possible. Needs can include things like necessary materials, time slots when you can (or can’t) be there, or even a broom! 😉 etc.
Deadline
Deadline is the 14th April at 23:42 Uhr CET (UTC+2). Speakers will be notified timely before the ticket sale, if their proposals were accepted.
You can reach out to us at eventorga@haecksen.org for all questions.
We look forward for your contributions and for developing new queer feminist utopias together!
